Administration Console

The Mashmatrix Sheet Administration Console is the screen used to configure and maintain the Mashmatrix Sheet application.

Grant Permission Set

It is required to have special permissions to access the administration console screen. To ensure that only a limited number of members have access to the administration console, your Salesforce administrator should assign permission sets to appropriate members in advance.

For information about granting the permission set that allows access to the administration console, see "Grant Permission Set".

Access to Administration Console

  1. Log in to Salesforce as a user with the "Mashmatrix Sheet Administrator" permission set.

  2. Click on the "Mashmatrix Admin" tab in the Mashmatrix Sheet application

In the administration console, you can now perform the following operations related to book management.

  • Export Books

  • Import Books

  • Change Book Owner

Export Books

Export the book information stored in the Mashmatrix Sheet application. You can select multiple existing books and download the book settings data to your PC as an archive file.

  • [A] Folder Pulldown - Narrow down the results of the book list by specifying a folder where the books are shared.

  • [B] Search Input for Book Name - Narrow the results of the book list to only those that contain search terms in the book name.

  • [C] Book List - Displays a list of currently stored books. Select the check box to select the books to be exported.

  • [D] Export - Execute export. The download will begin as an archive file.

What is included in the data to be exported is the settings for the specified books, and the sheets and views they contain. The data stored in the data column is not included. Additionally, for views, public and private views will be exported for books that are owned by the exporting user. For other books, only public views will be included in the export.

Import Books

Import books into the current organization by choosing a pre-exported archive file. Combined with the export function, it can be used to migrate book data from one organization to another and to perform backup and restore operations.

  • [A] Archive File to Import - Choose an archive file that has been exported to the local PC.

  • [B] Destination Folder - Select the folder to which you want to share the books to be imported.

  • [C] Books in Archive - When you choose an archive file to import, a list of the books in the archive file will be displayed.

  • [C] Books to Import - Select the books you want to import from the list of books in the archive with the arrow buttons.

  • [E] Overwrite Books with Same Name in Folder - Specifies whether or not to overwrite any books of the same name that already exist in the destination folder when the import is executed. If this option is not specified, the imported book will always be created as a new book.

  • [F] Import - Execute import.

The schema of the organization you are importing, such as objects or fields, must match the organization from which you have exported. If the schemas do not match, an unexpected error may occur when viewing the sheet.

Change Book Owner

Changes the owner of the specified books to another user by searching the books stored in the Mashmatrix Sheet application.

[D] New Book Owner - Search and select the new owner of the books.

  • [E] Change Owner - Execute a change of ownership of the books.

For books containing sheets with views enabled, when you change the owner of a book, the views owned by the original book owner will be owned by the new book owner. Any private views owned by users other than the book's owner will remain in the original user's possession.
